Sta-Built Construction installed 1,429 square feet of SB-RealFeel synthetic turf across the front yard of a home in Everett, WA in June 2026, replacing a patchy lawn with bare and dead spots between the driveway, the fence line, and the house. This was Phase II for a returning client: Sta-Built had already completed a first phase at the same home, and this phase also finished one small segment left over from it. The job closed out in July 2026.

Before and after
The problem
The site visit on May 5, 2026 photographed the whole front yard: a lawn running from the driveway to a wood fence on one side, with a curved, block-edged flower bed against the house. The grass was thin across the middle and had gone to bare dirt and dead brown patches in several places, worst along the fence and near the driveway edge.
The homeowner had already been through one project with Sta-Built at this house. The job notes record that they came back for Phase II and asked for the same project manager who ran Phase I.
The solution
The design sheet lays the turf across the whole front lawn, bounded by the driveway on one side and gates on both ends, and wraps it around the existing planter, which the sheet marks “Existing Planter Stays.” The flower bed and its block edging were kept, and the turf was cut to its curve. A note at the top of the sheet adds one more piece: a small segment left from Phase I, to be finished in this phase with turf already on site.
The materials
The turf is SB-RealFeel, Sta-Built’s own synthetic turf, ordered as three rolls cut to the yard: two at 30 feet and one at 47 feet. On a 1,429 square foot front lawn, a long roll down the length of the yard keeps the seams to a minimum. The rest of the system is seam tape and turf adhesive for the joints, rust-in-lock turf nails for the perimeter, and Premier Green infill, which the work order specifies at 1.5 pounds per square foot.
How it was built
Work started June 4, 2026. The work order carries 408 square feet of grass removal, then the turf footprint was excavated down 4 inches. The crew installed 3.5 to 4 inches of crushed rock and compacted it, with 2 cubic yards of 5/8 or 3/4 minus gravel imported and graded, and laid woven geotextile fabric over the finished base.
The turf rolls were joined with the Super Seam Method, seam tape and adhesive under the joint rather than a surface stitch, then nailed at a minimum of every 12 inches around all edges. The edge was cut in place against the planter’s block edging, the driveway, and the fence. Infill went in at 1.5 pounds per square foot and the crew finished with a power broom. The project manager’s photos show the lawn finished by June 11, and the completion set was taken on June 20.
The finished result
The front yard is one even green surface from the driveway to the fence, with no bare or brown patches. The flower bed against the house is unchanged, and the turf follows its curved block edge. The fence line, where the old lawn was thinnest, is now turf right to the boards.
What a project like this costs
Project investment range: $20,900 to $32,800. This range reflects the scope of this completed project and is not a current quote. It covers Phase II only, not the earlier phase at the same home.
Size is the biggest driver here: 1,429 square feet is more than twice the 617 square foot shaded yard Sta-Built documented in Vancouver. Under every square foot is the same base: excavation, compacted crushed rock, and fabric. On top of that, this job carried grass removal, imported gravel, and hand-cut edges around a curved planter, along the fence, and along the driveway. A smaller, rectangular yard with no planter to cut around would come in lower.

Related questions
What does 1,429 square feet of artificial turf cost in Everett, WA?
This project came in between $20,900 and $32,800, including grass removal, a compacted crushed rock base with fabric, imported gravel, and SB-RealFeel turf with Premier Green infill. The range reflects this completed project and is not a current quote.
What is under the turf on this project?
The work order calls for excavating down 4 inches, installing 3.5 to 4 inches of crushed rock compacted in place, then laying woven geotextile fabric over the base. The turf sits on the fabric, is nailed at a minimum of every 12 inches around the edges, and is topped with Premier Green infill at 1.5 pounds per square foot.
Can turf go around an existing flower bed?
Yes. The design for this yard marks the existing planter “stays,” and the crew cut the turf in place to the planter’s curved block edge. The bed and its flowers were left as they were.
What does Phase II mean on this project?
The homeowner had already completed one project with Sta-Built at this house and came back for the front yard. The Phase II design also included finishing a small segment left over from Phase I, using turf already on site.
Does Sta-Built install artificial turf in Everett?
Yes. This project is in Everett, WA, and Sta-Built installs synthetic turf lawns, pet areas, and putting greens across Snohomish County from its Lynnwood office. Washington license: STABUL*782LN.
